Oblong quarto, approx 12 1/2 x 9 3/4 inches tall, 26 leaves, 24 printed in black and red, all to rectos only, in publisher's pictorial papered boards printed in black and red (covers spotted and soiled, rubbing, most heavily to corners and spine ends, upper corners bumped, internally clean except minor toning, else very good). Tholenaar bookplate to front paste-down.
One of the 31 books chosen to represent the twentieth-century in the "Printing and the Mind of Man" exhibition in 1963. Koch enjoyed a reputation in Germany similar to that of Eric Gill in Britain.
